1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using freebuild, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to access and use freebuild for personal, non-commercial purposes — including good-faith modding, tinkering, and learning how our software works — subject to the prohibitions below. This is a license, not a transfer of title. Under this license you may not:

• use the materials commercially, or sell, license, or commercially exploit them, without our prior written consent;
• republish, mirror, or mass-redistribute the materials (for example as a competing download or complete replica of our offering) without our prior written consent;
• use decompilation, reverse engineering, or similar techniques to cheat, gain unfair advantage over other players, attack or degrade the service, harass users, steal data or credentials, or break the law;
• remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or

Many of us learned our craft by taking things apart, asking how they work, and teaching others what we found. We still believe in that culture. Good-faith reverse engineering, tinkering, and creative exploration — including what people sometimes call "hacking" when they mean learning, not harming — are things we respect and encourage, especially for modding and for understanding our software. We intend the restrictions in this section to guard against abuse, misappropriation, and malicious use — not to shut down lawful curiosity or honest technical learning. You must still refrain from cheating, disrupting the service or other players, theft, causing harm, or breaking the law.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

Effect of privacy requests on your account. Operating your account requires us to hold and process certain personal data — for example, your email address and password hash, a player record, and any linked Steam account. If you exercise rights under data-protection law that require us to delete, anonymise, or stop using that data (such as the right to erasure, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, or objection), we will no longer be able to operate your account, and access to logged-in website features and online multiplayer game services will be revoked. This is not a penalty for exercising your rights, but a practical consequence of removing the data we rely on to identify you. See our Privacy Policy for details and for how to make a request.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

• In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
• To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material without our prior written consent.
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate the company, a company employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
• In any way that infringes upon the rights of others, or in any way is illegal, threatening, fraudulent, or harmful.

5. Disclaimer

The materials on freebuild are provided on an 'as is' basis. freebuild makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

6. Limitations

In no event shall freebuild or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on freebuild, even if freebuild or a freebuild authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

7. Revisions

freebuild may revise these terms of service at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
